Lipofuscin is
- An aggregate of denatured proteins and lipid peroxides that accumulate in cells

What is the problem?
Lipofuscin accumulates in cells with aging. To achieve true brightness of the skin, we must prevent formation of lipofuscin and must decrease lipofuscin already accumulated.

Does JuniperBright also reduce the formation and accumulation of glycation products?
JuniperBright activates intracellular proteasomes to remove denatured proteins that are the source of lipofuscin and glycation products, so we believe it is effective in inhibiting the formation of intracellular glycation products.
Can combining JuniperBrght with whitening ingredients provide a higher cosmetic effect?
Melanin and lipofuscin are different substances. We believe that suppressing the pathways by which each is produced can be an effective strategy for beautiful skin.
Is JuniperBright effective to skin wash products?
Since the activity of JuniperBright appears within 2 hours, we believe that a skin brightening effect may be expected even in skin wash products when using concentrations higher than 1%.
