Features
Mechanism of Bakuchiol Pure Plus
Retinol is converted to all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA), which binds to retinoic acid receptors (RARs). RARs interact with Retinoid X Receptors (RXRs), bind to Retinoic Acid Response Element (RARE), and increases or decreases expression of target genes.
BAKUCHIOL Pure Plus promoted/reduced expression of RARβ/RARγ as ATRA did.

Acting like retinol
Measured expression of RARs in human epidermal keratinocyte cultured with and without 10 µM BAKUCHIOL Pure Plus.
Activation of skin barrier related factors
Measured expression of filaggrin, involcutin, CERS1, HAS3 in human epidermal keratinocyte cultured with and without 10 µM BAKUCHIOL Pure Plus.
Improvement of skin water content
Skin capacitance was measured after using facial oil containing 0.5% BAKUCHIOL Pure Plus for 4 weeks.
Reduction of wrinkles
Wrinkles on neck was measured after using facial oil containing 0.5% BAKUCHIOL Pure Plus for 4 weeks.
